Welcome to NCsquared Life, my life and style blog. I’m Nikki, the other half of NCsquared! I’m sure you’re dying to know all about me, so here are some facts: I have a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, a B.A. degree in Psychology, and a minor in Hispanic Studies. I recently worked as a grant writer at an international nonprofit in the field of women’s health, but I’m currently looking for new public health opportunities.
I’ve decided to try my hand at style blogging. I’ve never considered myself a fashionista but I do like putting together cute outfits. I’m constantly told by my friends that I always look so put together so sharing my personal style felt like the natural next step. In this blog, I’ll try to demonstrate how any average girl like me can dress nicely and look like a million bucks without actually spending it. I mostly wear petite sizes because I’m only 5′ 1″ but my looks will work for anyone! I’m slow to try new trends, but I’m hoping that blogging will give me the courage to try new things. All in all, I wear what I like and what makes me feel comfortable, and I hope I inspire you to do the same.
A little more about me: I love the color purple and I’m fairly organized. I’m an avid reader and a long-time lover of Hispanic culture – especially the language and the dancing – and you can win my heart over with the Spanish guitar. I could eat Sushi every day, I drink coffee every morning, and enjoy a nice glass of wine by night. I like scary movies and ghost stories. I try not take anything for granted, and I can be amused by even the smallest things. I love to laugh, flowers, and snow. I’m impatient, passionate, caring, and intelligent. I’m short, cute, and outgoing. My dogs are my children and I think they’re the best.
Also, I’m a feminist. No, I don’t hate men and I wear my bras as opposed to burning them (which is actually a myth) because I do appreciate their support! What I do hate is inequality, sexism, and discrimination.
Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet and I hope you stick around for the ride!
